Set & Get: Set Financial Goals, Get Rewards

Our client, UW Credit Union (UWCU), needed to expand its customer base with incoming students who are starting their financial journey, but might not know where to begin. Together, my team applied the design thinking process to identify ways to increase membership and retention among the student population. We conducted research, identified user needs, ideated and pitched solutions, prototyped and tested our design, and presented the final outcome to the UWCU team. This is a story of our work.

The big idea

Students need guidance to be financially responsible and want financial incentives. By providing unique benefits to new members through in-app features and community partnerships, UWCU can be students’ partner of choice.

Users get started by setting short- and long-term goals, a monthly budget, and manage progress throughout their financial journey.
